Vietnam has a lot of beautiful natural landscape which is recognized by UNESCO as WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE. It also attracts by its own virgin beaches and island from 3260km long coastline, hundreds of beautiful lakes, rivers, waterfalls and many huge caves and so on. The most famous and attractive is Ha Long Bay with its islands and rocks of different size and shape such as Bai Tho Mount, Dau Go Cave and so on. Halong Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park are two World Natural Heritage sites and Can Gio Mangrove Forest, Cat Tien, Cat Ba. In particular, Vietnam is covered by tropical lowlands; hills and densely forested highlands, there are so many great destinations in Vietnam.
The World Natural Heritage of Vietnam:
Ha Long Bay is a small bay lying on the West coast of the Gulf of Tonkin in the North East of Vietnam, including the islands of Ha Long City, Cam Pha Town and a part of the Van Don district.
It is regarded as a center of geology, landscape, climate and culture, with Bai Tu Long Bay in the Northeastern and Cat Ba islands in the southwestern, Ha Long Bay has the area of 1.553km square including 1,960 islands, mostly are limestone islands and the inner of island has area of 334 km square with 775 islands. It takes about 500 millions years to create this limestone geology with a various geographical circumstances; and the carxto evolutionary process lasted over 20 millions years with the combination of thick limestone layer, hot and humid climate.
Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is located in the two districts of Bo Trach and Minh Hoa, Quang Binh Province.
It takes about 50 km square from Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to Dong Hoi Town, Quang Binh province in the northwestern. The West of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park closes to Namno, Kham Muon province of Laos; and it takes about 42 km square from Phong Nha Ke Bang to Vietnam - Laos in the East
Phong Nha - Ke Bang has the width of 200,000 ha of limestone moutain. The area of Laos also has a limestone area of 200,000 ha. And the central of the national park has area of 85.754 ha
Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was set up to preserve one of the world's largest carxto with 300 caves and also protect the ecosystems in the North of Truong Son in Northern Central Area in Vietnam.
